This rod bolt kit is specifically designed for the Toyota 2ZZ engine. Unlike the single-use "torque-to-yield" OEM rod bolts, these are manufactured from 8740 chrome moly steel, heat-treated in-house to 200,000 psi tensile strength, and precision J-form threads rolled after heat-treat to create a fastener that has threads 1000% stronger than others and completely reusable.
This kit includes:
Torque Spec:
65 ft-lb with ARP lube
70 ft-lb with 30WT oil
Torque only to the spec above, do NOT turn an additional 90 degrees.
Q: Does this kit work with aftermarket connecting rods?
A: This product is specific to OEM 2ZZ-GE connecting rods and are not compatible with aftermarket rods.
